Need to find something better (or at least good for both desktop & RDP)

Research

Cinnamon

Mate

Xfce4

  • xfce4-taskmanager
  • Xfce4 Volstatus Icon
  • Customising Thunar (xfce file manager)
  • Thumbdrive Mounting
    • By default, xfce seems to mount thumb drives as useable only by the user that mounted them...
    • To fix this
      • Go into Disks
      • Edit mount options
      • Turn off Automatic Mount Options
      • Change Identify as to /dev/disk/by-label/_____
      • double check that its mount point is now under /mnt
    • Probably have to do this with every thumb drive used on the system...
