xrdp

  1. sudo apt-get install tightvncserver
  2. sudo apt-get install xrdp
  • In THAT order!
  • Test:
    • sudo service xrdp status
    • RDP does not like Cinnamon... (apparently 3d is bad)
      • It does run... but crashes on login & runs in fallback mode
    • Install a 2D WM...
      • XFCE
        • sudo apt-get update
        • sudo apt-get install xfce4
        • echo xfce4-session >~/.xsession
        • Or... You know... install it from the package manager...
          • mint-meta-xfce
      • mate
        • nope...
      • kde
        • meh... clunky & awkward
