Just an [[IoT - ESP-M3 Everything!|ESP-M3 Everything!]] running WLED & driving 48 WS2812s glued to the back of a blank cover plate.

After a couple days...  Learned that, while the 8-LED WS2812 strips work fine off the 3v3 bus if you're just running one, This causes WLED to be even more unstable than normal if you're running 6.  OTOH...  Powering the LEDs from the raw 5v bus & driving Din from the ESP is just fine.

It really looks freekin' cool.

Just an ESP-M3 Everything! running WLED & driving 48 WS2812s glued to the back of a blank cover plate.

After a couple days... Learned that, while the 8-LED WS2812 strips work fine off the 3v3 bus if you're just running one, This causes WLED to be even more unstable than normal if you're running 6. OTOH... Powering the LEDs from the raw 5v bus & driving Din from the ESP is just fine.
